December DIG Questions & More!

Hello, hello!

I hope you are doing well and have a full tummy from Thanksgiving! What a great time of the year to stop and think about all that you have to be thankful for! No matter what your circumstances are, there is always something to be thankful for...I would love for you to post something you are thankful for on the comment section too!

Ok...first things first, December's Dig Questions. If this is your first time, chick >>here<< to see our first DIG post and more about this opportunity. All of the questions surround the birth of Christ. As it is the season in which we celebrate His birth, I encourage you to read/re-read through Matthew 1 & 2 and Luke 1 & 2.

The 10 Dig Questions:

1.) Who was Jesus' great-great grandfather? (Matthew 1)

2.) What town was Jesus born in? (Matthew 2)

3.) Who was the King at the time of Jesus' birth? (Matthew 2)

4.) How many times is the birth of Jesus told within the four Gospels?

5.) What did the baby (John the Baptist) do inside his mother, Elizabeth's womb when Mary (Jesus' mother) greeted Elizabeth? (Luke 1)

6.) What does Luke 1:45 say?

7.) How long did Mary stay with Elizabeth before returning home? (Luke 1)

8.) What ruler issued that a census be taken? (Luke 2)

9.) What sign were the shepherds told to look for by the angel? (Luke 2)

10.) What had been revealed to Simeon by the Holy Spirit that would happen before he died? (Luke 2)

And now for the..."& More!" :)

The past few weeks have been jam packed with fun Girls Ministry happenings (which is probably why I got a little behind in my blogging...opps!). Pictures are my fave, so enjoy!

Tammy and Mike Holt organized a sweet two-night backpacking trip to Savage Gulf for some of our toughest girls! The girls enjoyed time out in the wilderness and covered over 10 miles of hiking with 30+ pound backpacks. A couple of them even led the group in Bible study and worship. I'm sure this was a weekend they'll never forget!

We had our first Girls Ministry Dine, Dig, & Drama which was loads of fun! The girls all brought clothes, purses and accessories they were tired of wearing but that were still in good condition and did an exchange! Everyone left with lots of goodies and learned what it meant to be a good steward with the things we have. We don't always have to buy brand new! We watched a fun "chick flick" and had a blast eating lots of yummy treats and hanging with the girls!

We also took more than 50 middle schoolers on a hike to Benton Falls after a Firehouse Sub lunch in the Illumination Room! What perfect timing...the Lord blessed us with a beautiful fall afternoon full of gorgeous fall colors and a crisp air.

This past Monday night was our final Middle School Monday Night Makeover before Christmas. We had a precious time at Mrs. Tammy Holt's home fellowshipping over some amazing treats and then digging into God's Word as we learned about how to handle those mean girls in our lives as well as making sure we aren't the mean girl to others. Mrs. Gina Allison showed up with her sewing machines and taught us all how to make winter hats (beanies, toboggan hats)! They are so cute! Don't you agree!

High School Girls, Get Ready! Your chance to make cute winter hats, fellowship, and learn about handling mean girls God's way is THIS Sunday, Dec. 6 from 4-6 at Mrs. Debbie Creech's home.

Whew! What an absolutely FUN November! There are more pictures posted on the FBC Girls Ministry Fan Page on Facebook, so check that out too!

Now...get to diggin' for the DIG Questions!!! :)
